How to "be there" for someone grieving...

Sending an UberEats giftcard or dropping off a meal is a great way to do something for the grieving family, especially early on.

A text goes a long way - Jeff and I loved (and still do) getting texts from family, friends, and even people that we hardly knew reaching out to let us know they were thinking and praying for us, sorry for our loss, and sharing scripture verses with us.

It's okay to bring up their name; the grieving parents want you to. This let's them know that their baby in heaven is still loved and remembered.

Grief is hard - give grace to your friend/loved one grieving. There is no rule book for continuing on with grief after an out-of-order death.

A very painful thing, when you’ve had a loss, is those around you never acknowledge it.
